Brenda Simpson

Tell City, Indiana - Brenda Gayle Simpson, 59, passed away on June 19, 2012, at Perry County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Hancock County, Kentucky, on December 8, 1952. Her parents were the late Estil and Louise (Young) Dawson. Brenda married Thomas E. Simpson on November 29, 1969, in Owensboro, Kentucky. A homemaker, Brenda was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She enjoyed genealogy, traveling to Florida and being outdoors. Surviving are her husband, Tom Simpson; daughter, Caryn Pledger (Greg Kincaid); grandchildren, Tyler Cramer and Cloey Pledger; sisters, Alice Tindle, Hawesville, KY, Betty Cartwright, Hawesville, KY, Billie Faye Schwartz, Tell City, Cheryl Wilson, Tobinsport, Carol Vogt, Cannelton, Jackie Moore, Oregon and Tracy Poole, Evansville. Also preceding her in death were her brothers, Junior Dawson and Kent Greely and a daughter, Tina Michelle Simpson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 23, 2012, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday and from 9:00 AM until service time on Saturday. Larry Hardman will preside. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association.
