Bonnie Powers

Tell City, Indiana Bonnie Jean Powers, 95, passed away December 28, 2015 at Oakwood Health Campus. She was born in Hancock County, Kentucky on November 22, 1920 daughter of the late George and Beulah (Clements) Black. Also preceding her in death was her husband Clarence Powers, two infant children, George and Beverly Powers, and grandson, David Powers. Bonnie Jean was the oldest member of Seventh Street Baptist Church, and was also a member of American Legion Auxiliary, Twilight Towers Tenant Council and RSVP volunteer. She enjoyed cooking, baking, playing bingo and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her children; Bobbi J. Polster, Tell City, Curtis Powers (Cathy), Cannelton, Darla Clouse (Larry), Tell City, Cheryl "Suzy" Coyle (Jim), Tell City and Richard Powers, Newburgh; nine grandchildren, Eric and Mike Polster, Kim Scales, Philip Powers, Jamey and Jerry Clouse, Chris Coyle, Julie Hess and Jenna Lenko; fourteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Funeral services are 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Memory Gardens, in Hawesville, KY. Bro. Joe Simpson will officiate. Visitation is from 2:00 until 7:00 PM Tuesday and from 9:00 AM until service time Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Seventh Street Baptist Church.
