Bob Campbell

Robert Bruce "Bob" Campbell, Jr., 73, was promoted to glory on Monday, November 15, 2021. He was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on October 13, 1948. Bob was united in marriage on February 27, 1976 to Peggy Jo True, who survives. He retired after 30 years with Branchville Correctional Facility. Bob was ordained as a minister on May 31, 1987. He served as Assistant Pastor for Troy Bethel Church and Pastor at Christian Church in Huntingburg and officially retired from Agape Community Church in Cannelton. After retirement, Bob's life ministry of helping others continued, starting and serving Agape Recovery Ministries for seven years. He had served as Chaplin and a reserve officer for the Cannelton Police Department. Bob was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He ran Circle C Farms where he enjoyed raising beagles and labradors. Bob had a tremendous love and devotion to his family and community and served as an Evangelist throughout his life. Surviving is his wife of 45 years, Peggy Campbell, Tell City; daughter, Jennifer Simpson (Jeff), Tell City; granddaughter, Maddie Simpson; a sister, Annette Tryon (Chuck), Rockford, MN; niece and nephew, Kim Rossow and Chuck Tryon, Jr. (Diane); four great nieces and nephews and four great-great nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Betty Young Funkhouser and Robert Bruce Campbell, Sr. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM CST on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Pastor Mike Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 AM -11:00 AM at the funeral home. Masks are optional.
