Tell City, Indiana William C. "Billy" Jarboe, 84, passed away on January 18, 2022 at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper, Indiana. He was born in Tell City on April 19, 1937 to Andrew and Kathryn (James) Jarboe. Billy served in the United States Army and the Army National Guard. He was united in marriage on July 4, 1962 at St. Augustine Catholic Church to Betty Haney, who survives. Billy had worked as carpenter in construction masonry for Coon Goffinet and retired from Mike Solbrig Construction. He was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church, a lifetime member of Perry County Coon Club and dedicated many years to Perry County 4-H. Billy loved to hunt, especially coon hunting, fish, garden and spend time at home with his family and friends. Surviving is his wife of 59 years, Betty Jarboe; daughters, Jackie Lockridge (Steve) and Jill Peter (P.J.); grandsons, Matt Lockridge (Lacey), Ross Peter and Victor Peter and three great grandchildren, Max, Molly and Morgan Lockridge. Preceding him in death were his parents and siblings, Clara Elizabeth Jarboe, Dorothy Taylor, Agnes Ward, Paul Jarboe and Sarah Beard. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM CST on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at St. Mark Catholic Church. Rev. Luke Waugh will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, with military rites. Visitation will be Friday from 2:00-8:00 PM and Saturday 8:30-9:15 AM at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. The family requests that masks be worn while attending visitation and the Funeral Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark Catholic Church Cemetery. Billy's family would like to express a special "thank you" to St. Charles Heath Campus, Jasper and Hospira Hospice Care.
