Tell City, Indiana - Billie Dean Morris, 80, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2015, at Golden Living Center-Lincoln Hills. He was born on May 12, 1935, in Hancock County, Kentucky. His parents were the late James Albert and Lillian Marie (Pate) Morris. Also preceding him in death were his brothers, Lonnie and Frankie Morris. Billie graduated in 1954, from Beechmont High School, formerly in Hawesville, Kentucky. He was united in marriage to Betty Delaisse on September 27, 1958 at St. Paul Catholic Church, where they are members. A U.S. Army veteran, he retired from General Electric in 1990 after 25 years of service. Surviving are his wife, Betty; daughters, Gayla Goetz, Owensboro, Kentucky and Ginger Morris, Tell City; son, Dean Morris, Cannelton; sisters, Mildred Boutcher, Evansville and Jane Hardesty, Louisville, Kentucky; brother, Donnie Morris, Perryville, Maryland and a grandson, Christopher Goetz, Owensboro, Kentucky. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at St. Paul Catholic Church with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 PM on Tuesday and from 8:30 until 9:30 AM on Wednesday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church and American Cancer Society.
