Bill Pierrard

Tell City, Indiana William H. "Bill" Pierrard, 96, passed away on September 18, 2022 at Oakwood Health Campus. He was born on March 14, 1926 in Roberta, Kentucky, son of the late Edward and Ella (Cassidy) Pierrard. Bill was a United States Army veteran and was united in marriage on June 14, 1949 to Dorothy Esarey at St. John Catholic Church in Bristow. He retired in 1986 from General Electric. Bill was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, American Legion Post 213 and Hoosier Heights Country Club. He enjoyed golfing, playing cards and manicuring his lawn. Surviving are his daughters, Janet Macy (Wayne), Hardinsburg, KY and Cyntha Joyal (Tony), Middleburg, FL; grandchildren, Lisa Rhoad (Kevin), Jenna Lucas (Dustin) and Sean Joyal; great grandchildren, Dylan, Mackenzie and Lane Rhoad, Wyatt and Rylee Lucas. Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Dorothy Pierrard; sisters, Mildred Keith, Wilma Patmore, Marian Sprinkle and brothers, Oliver "Buck, Donald "Joe" and Lloyd Pierrard. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM CDT on Friday, September 23, 2022 at St. Paul Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery with military rites. Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00-7:00 PM and Friday 8:30-9:30 AM at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Cemetery.
