Betty Woods

Cannelton, Indiana - Betty L. Woods, 69, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2011, at Owensboro Medical Health System in Owensboro, Kentucky. She was born in Perry County, Indiana, on September 19, 1942, daughter of the late Frederick ""Fritz"" Fulkerson and Mary (Harding) Holmes. Also preceding hrt in death was a sister, Carolyn Decker and brothers, Hollis and Bob Fulkerson, a brother, Eddie Lee Holmes in infancy and her husband, James Blair Woods. Betty enjoyed working as a caregiver for the elderly, making jewelry, cats, gardening and reading. She won several trophies for throwing darts. Surviving is a daughter, Paula English, Eckerty; sons, Lee Ungerecht, New Port Richey, Florida, Dean Ungerecht, Covington, Kentucky, David Ungerecht, Cannelton; 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 8, 2011, at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel, with burial in New Cliff Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 PM on Friday and from 9:00 AM until service time on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to Perry County Animal Shelter.
