Derby, Indiana Betty Lou Ramsey, 71, of Louisville and formerly of Derby, passed away Monday April 11, 2011 at Christopher East in Louisville. She was born October 16, 1939 in Derby daughter of the late Charles Arthur and Muriel (George) Ramsey. She was also preceded in death by a sister Roberta Jean Ramsey. Betty was a member of the Catholic faith and a self- employed hairdresser in Louisville. She was a past member of the Board of Directors of Right to Life and was awarded the Dr. Albert Schweitzer Right to Life Award in 1988. A volunteer at St. John's Day Center for the homeless, she also enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, fishing and loved music and dancing. She is survived by her sisters, Janet Rassner, Louisville, Linda VanNoy, Indianapolis, Wanda (Joe) Kramer, Sacramento, CA, Mary Christine Greene, Peru, IN, Bonnie Agnello, SanLeandro, CA, JoElla (Mike) Shelly, Somerset, KY; her brothers, Lee (Jane) Ramsey, Evansville and Charles Ramsey, Derby. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 16, 2011 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Leopold with burial in Derby Cemetery. Rev. Aaron Pfaff will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday and from 8:30 until 9:30 AM on Saturday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Right to Life or the American Cancer Society.
