Tell City, Indiana - Betty J. Adkins Noble, 89, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at Oakwood Health Campus. She was born in Evansville on August 6, 1925. Her parents were the late William and Bertha (Jennings) Kinder. Also preceding her in death was her first husband, Leonard Adkins; second husband, Fred Kegel; daughter in infancy, Sharon Adkins; brother, Bill Kinder and sisters, Margaret Massey, Vivian Hood and Dorothy Vindhurst. Betty married John F. Noble on October 27, 1995. She was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ and enjoyed traveling, playing cards and going to horse races. She loved being with her family and had a kind and gentle personality, always complimenting others. Surviving are her husband, John F. Noble, Tell City; a daughter, Sidney Coomes, Evansville; sons, Steve Adkins (Toni), Evansville and Randy Adkins, Evansville; step son, John H. Noble (Linda), Tell City; step daughter, Barbara Kast, Tell City; sisters, Hazel Smith, Evansville and Jeannette Adamson, Wadesville; grandchildren, Cindy, Michelle, Todd, Steven and Joshua; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 15, 2014, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial at 1:00 PM at Park Lawn Cemetery in Evansville. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 6:00 PM on Sunday and from 9:00 AM until service time on Monday. Rev. JT Hills will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice, 3555 Newton Street, Jasper, IN 47546.
