Betty Holloway

June 5, 1928 — February 13, 2012

Betty Holloway, 83, passed away Monday, February 13, 2012 at Perry County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Tell City June 5, 1928, daughter of the late Frank and Florence (Probus) Stowe. Also preceding her in death were husbands, Dewey Turner and Bill Holloway, sons, Toby and Robert Turner, sister, Lillian Crockett and a brother Frank Stowe. Betty retired as manager of Cato Dress Shop. She was a past PCMH Auxiliary member, volunteered at Twilight Towers and enjoyed singing in the choir and helping with bazaars at First United Methodist Church. She is survived by daughters; Mary Lynn Hauser, Patsy Winchell and Jeannie Toothman, all of Tell City, and Barbara Cooper, Jasper; son, Terry Turner, Jasper; brother, Tobin Stowe, Hilo, Hawaii, grandchildren, Jody Weigand, Chris Toothman, Kelly Jackson, Matt Toothman, Jourdan Turner, James Denning, Vanessa, Monica, Jacob and Elizabeth Cooper, Daniel, Kristen, Tessa Jo and Roxanna Turner, and 18 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Pastor Andy Payton will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 8:00 PM on Wednesday and from 9:00 AM until service time on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to Golden Living Center Activity Fund.
