Bernard Rogier

Tell City, Indiana Bernard J. Rogier, 70, passed away on December 21, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born in Perry County on August 20, 1951 to Ralph and Augusta (Strahl) Rogier, who preceded him in death. Bernie was a 1970 graduate of Tell City High School and attended Ivy Tech Community College and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He retired in 2016 from Ohio Valley Gas after 39 years. He was united in marriage on June 5, 1976 to Veneta Gillean at St. Paul Catholic Church. Bernie enjoyed traveling, visiting flea markets, wood working and spending time with his family and grandchildren. Surviving is his wife of 45 years, Veneta Rogier, Tell City; children, Derek Rogier (Amber) and Dianca Williams (Brian), all of Tell City; grandchildren, Kaden and Kaleb Williams, Treylen and Kysen Rogier; siblings, Bill Rogier, St. Croix, Ben (Sara), Tim (Linda) and Bob (Trish) Rogier, all of Tell City, Allen Rogier (Theresa), Batesville, Mary Jo Aull and Julia Mobley (Frank), of Bloomington, Liz Lamping and Kathy McCoy (Kenneth) of Beech Grove, Indiana. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM CST on Friday, December 24, 2021 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Rev. Ron Kreilein will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery with military rites. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00-6:00 PM and Friday from 9:00-10:00 AM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
