Beatrice Yaggi

Cannelton, Indiana - Beatrice A. ""Tanny"" Yaggi, 79, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2010, at Perry County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Cannelton on March 2, 1931. Her parents were the late Cleo and Mildred (Frizzell) Claycomb. Also preceding her in death was a sister, Emma Lee Elder, a brother-in-law, Joe Elder and a niece, Lisa Elder. A 1949 CHS graduate, Tanny married James Emory Yaggi on November 4, 1950, at First United Methodist Church in Cannelton where she was a member. She was also a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2939 Auxiliary and Harry G. Myers American Legion Post #142 Auxiliary. A homemaker, she had been employed at General Electric and Can-Do Apartments. Tanny enjoyed working crossword puzzles and visiting with her friend, Judy Herzog. It was her family, especially her grandchildren that motivated her to stay strong during her illness. She looked forward to their visits and never missed an opportunity to watch her grandsons play ball, even if it meant just listening to the game on the radio. Tanny is survived by her husband of 59 years, Emory Yaggi, a daughter Patty Seibert, her husband Steve and their children, Ashton Zuelly, Ryan Zuelly and Dayne Seibert, a son, John Yaggi, his wife, Cindy and their children, Megan Yaggi, Lauren Paige Yaggi and Megan's fiancee' Chris Evans. Tanny's nieces and nephews are Barry and Mary Elder, Joey Elder, Pam Haycraft, Allyson and Doug Cravens and Jenny and Bob Hagan. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel, with burial in New Cliff Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 8:00 PM on Monday and from 9:00 AM until service time on Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, Cannelton.
