St. Croix, Indiana Beatrice J. "Bea" Ransom Martin, 77, passed away January 6, 2019 at her home. She was born in Perry County, Indiana on December 22, 1941 to the late Stanford and Mary E. (Guillaume) Ransom. Bea was a graduate of Oil Township High School. An LPN, she had worked at Heritage House Nursing Home and retired from Branchville Correctional Facility. Bea enjoyed playing cards, dancing, watching T.V., listening to country music and the local band, Overdrive, visiting with family, friends and going out to eat. Surviving are her children, Elizabeth Ransom, Branchville, Gordy Ransom (Bertie), English, Johnna Madley (Lonnie), Eckerty, Kevin Herrell, Palestine, Illinois and Rich Martin, St. Croix; sisters, Mary Lois Ransom, Branchville and Annettie Ransom, Tell City; grandchildren, Shane Hammack (Bri),Dane Ransom (Natalie), Dalton Ransom, Laryn Ransom, Randi Prueher (Fred), Zachary Madley (Jessica), Devin Martin, Paige Martin, Cyndi Rehmels (Tyler), Brittney Herrell and Shane Herrell; great grandchildren, Silas Hammack, Delina Ransom, Loni Prueher, Collin Madley, Cole and Kate Rehmels and Emma Wolfe. Preceding her in death was her parents, brother, Mark Ransom, and grandson, Nathan Ransom. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM CST Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Brother AL Madden will officiate. Burial will follow in Walker Cemetery, Branchville. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00-8:00 PM and Wednesday from 9:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be to Walker Cemetery.
