Barbara Sides

Barbara Jean Sides, 81, passed away January 30, 2020 at St. Vincent Ascension in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born March 16, 1938 in Brazil, Indiana, daughter of the late Philip and Betty (Orman) Balder. Also preceding her in death was her husband Kenny Sides. Barbara had worked for American Building Company for many years and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Cannelton. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, sewing, latch hook, writing poetry of which she had published and loved animals She is survived by her daughter; Gail "Diane" Cooley, Seattle, Washington and step daughter, Kathy Barnett, Evansville; sister, Karen Sampson, Paris, Illinois and brother, David Balder, Indianapolis and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM CST Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel. Rev. Ann Skiba will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 3:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society.
