Barbara Harlen

Tell City, Indiana Barbara Ann (Gore) Harlen, 67, passed away Monday, September 29, 2014 at Amber Manor Care Center, in Petersburg. She was born February 19, 1947, in Tell City, daughter of the late William and Rosetta (King) Gore. A 1965 graduate of Leavenworth High School and 1968 graduate of Owensboro Vocational College, becoming a license practical nurse. Barbara was united in marriage to Louis Harlen, July 8, 1972 in Evansville. She retired in 2010 from Amber Manor Care Center in Petersburg and was a member of St. James Church in Holland. She is survived by her husband, Louis Harlen, Petersburg; sons, Kevin Harlen (Trisha), Holland and Jeffery Harlen, St. Louis, Missouri; sisters, Mary Nell Rhodes, Tell City, Joyce Crawford (Ron), Tell City, Kathy Schuler (Roger), Deatsville, Alabama and Billie Franklin, Brandenburg, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Casey and Kaylea Harlen. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Gilliland Cemetery, near Derby. Pastor David King will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time. Memorials may be made to the family.
