Barbara Devillez

Tell City, Indiana Barbara A. Devillez, 82, passed away May 3, 2022 at Oakwood Health Campus. She was born in Leopold, Indiana on October 8, 1939, daughter of Joseph V. and Alice (Anderson) Devillez. Barbara was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing euchre, taking and collecting family pictures, dancing, watching car racing and IU and UK basketball, listening to country music and anything Elvis. She especially loved sending holiday cards to friends and family. The loving mother to three boys, grandmother to nine grandchildren and great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren, one of her greatest joys was to see her family flourish. Surviving are her sons, David Lahee (Sheila), Santa Claus, Jeff Lahee (Christine), Tell City and Keith Lahee (Tomomi), Santa Claus; nine grandchildren, Zach Lahee (Tiffany), Sara Obermeier (Brad), Vanessa Lahee, Leah Lahee, Eric Doogs (Nicole), Charissa Schuetz (Nick), Tyler Lahee, Tomoko Thompson (Jared) and Sakuma Lahee; great grandchildren, Eliah and Aniah Lahee, Hayden and Braelynn Obermeier, Adeline and Lincoln Doogs and Charlotte Thompson; sisters, Sharon Meunier (David), Louisville, KY and Vicki Hall, Tell City; sister-in-law, Sue Devillez, Oklahoma City, OK and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; a brother, Robert E. Devillez, Sr.; nephew, Robert E. Devillez, Jr. and a niece Casondra Compton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM CST on Friday, May 6, 2022 at St. Paul Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rev. Stephen Donahue will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00-7:00 PM Thursday and 8:30-9:30 AM Friday Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association or American Cancer Society.
