Arlie Brock

Arlie J. Brock, 82, passed away on June 21, 2021, at his home, after tending to his garden. He was born in Bristow on September 27, 1938, son of Murl and Anna (Kirk) Brock. Arlie was united in marriage August 19, 1956 at Chestnut Grove Church to Marilyn Humphrey. They spent 50 years ministering there, along with evangelizing wherever needed, including churches in Bristow. He believed in sharing his knowledge of the Bible with others, offering them faith, hope and encouragement. He had worked at Frank Blum Sawmill, Western Auto, Hilger's Laundry and General Electric while devoting his life to ministry. He enjoyed gardening, going to auctions, fishing and working on lawn mowers in his repair shop. Arlie is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marilyn Brock; children, Tim Miller (Jennifer), Tell City, Doug Brock (Lisa), Troy, Lois Dauby (Tim), Tell City and Faith Damin (Mike), Cannelton; siblings, Wayne Brock (Brenda), Dale, Don Brock (Gertie) Tell City, Bonnie Herrmann (Rusty), Tell City, "Little" Darlene Brock, Tell City and Sharon Kyle (Paul), Jasper and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also preceding him in death besides his parents were siblings, Dow and "Junior" Brock, Frances Hammack, Mildred Leistner, Ardella Kieser, Mary Seals and Thelma Rothgerber. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM CDT on Thursday, June 24, 2021, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Chestnut Grove Cemetery. Rev. Tony Hibbard will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 PM Wednesday and from 9:00 until 11:00 AM Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association.
