Arlene Whitten

Troy, Indiana - Arlene G. Whitten, 55, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2015, at Heartford House in Owensboro, Kentucky. She was born on January 10, 1960, in Fort Knox, Kentucky. Her parents were the late Robert Mahr, Sr. and Lois (Parmer) Huff who survives her. She loved horses, country music, her dog, Gizmo and spending time visiting with family and friends. Surviving are her children, Carla Mahr Kenworthy (Shane Harding), Tell City and John Whitten, Tell City; her mother, Lois Huff, Cannelton; a brother, Stormy G. Huff, Tell City; companion, C.A. Gratzer, Tell City and five grandchildren, Madison and Mason Ridge, Anastasia McKim, Bella Whitten and Carolyne Harding. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Mike Whitten; a brother, Robert Mahr, Jr. and her step father, Curt Vandgrift. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Mount Eden Cemetery in Hancock County, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 7:00 PM on Wednesday and from noon until service time on Thursday. Pastor Arlie Brock will officiate.
