Anthony Pappano

Tell City, Indiana Anthony W. "Tony" Pappano, 74, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017. He was born August 31, 1943 in Richmond, Indiana, son of the late Carmela Gervasio of Bicaccia, Italy and Joseph Pappano of Roseto, Valfortore, Italy. Also preceding him death was a brother, Rev. William Pappano. Tony graduated with a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering technology from the University of Dayton, and an M.S. degree in Community Development from the University of Louisville. He worked from 1970-1980 at Lincoln Hills Development Corporation, and Insight 2000, Inc. from 1980 to the present. He is survived by his wife, Katie Pappano; five children, Jeremy Pappano (Holly), Brian Pappano (Christi), Tony Pappano (Carrol), Annamaria Doddridge, and Will Pappano (Alyssa). He is survived by the following grandchildren, J.K., Chloe, Tristan, Emily, Hunter, Decklan, Caleb, Anthony, Camrin, Hayley, Jaxson, and Tessa; sisters, Mary Rose Vicera (Rocco) and Liz Maddox (Bill); a brother, Joe Pappano (Betty). He enjoyed traveling with his wife, Katie, and experienced many adventures. Tony enjoyed sharing great times with his children and was "Super Papaw" to his grandchildren. He thrived on his many friendships. Tony simply loved people and strived all his life to do as much as he could to help others. A Memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM Saturday, October 21, 2017, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Chaplin Joe Bozzelli will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Scenic Lincoln Way Excursion Train in care of Tell City Depot, 333 Seventh Street, Tell City, IN 47586. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
