Tell City, Indiana - Anthony C. "Tony" Bruggeman, 86, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2013, at Owensboro Health Systems, in Owensboro, Kentucky. He was born in Perry County, near St. Marks, on November 1, 1926. His parents were the late Victor and Bertha (Hagedorn) Bruggeman. Also preceding him in death was a sister, Lanora LaMar. Tony was united in marriage to Mildred Jane Mogan on June 20, 1950, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Cannelton. A lifelong farmer, Tony owned routes and hauled milk to Kraft Foods and for 35 years, owned and operated a car wash located in Dale, Indiana. He retired from And-Tro, Inc. where he was employed for 42 years. Tony was a soft spoken, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was an avid boater and enjoyed watching basketball and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Jane Bruggeman; daughter, Jane DeWitt (Orville), Hawesville, Kentucky; sons, Mark Bruggeman (Debbie) and Mike Bruggeman (Beth), both of Tell City and Charles Bruggeman (Janet), Wadesville; sisters, Agnes Connor (Charles), Cincinnati, Ohio and Donna Parker (Larry), Branchville; grandchildren, Theresa, Lisa, Lance, Kathy, Jesse, Scott, Chad, Daryl, Jamie and Ian and nineteen great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at St. Mark's Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 8:00 PM on Tuesday and from 8:30 until 9:30 AM on Wednesday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark's Catholic Church, St. Mark's Cemetery or a favorite charity.
