Tell City, Indiana Anna L. James, 71, passed away August 7, 2015 at Perry County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Perry County, Indiana on January 29, 1944, daughter of the late James Isaac and Nora M. (Kellems) Simpson. Also preceding her in death were sisters, Virginia "Doll" DuPont, Leota Chenault, and Paula Jean Sturgeon, brothers, Bill, Charles, James, Sherman and Glenward Simpson, and two brothers in infancy, Gabe and Ernest. Anna had worked at Lincoln Hills Nursing Home for eighteen years and later for fifteen years as area coordinator for Res-Care. She was a former cubmaster for cubscout Pack #197. A member of House of Prayer, she also played the piano there. Anna enjoyed collecting pig figurines, music boxes, writing gospel music and poetry, singing, reading and doing word searches. She is survived by her children, Jeff James, Tell City, Todd James, Pellville, KY, Stephanie James, Fordsville, KY, Randy James, Cannelton, Chad James, Tell City and Stacy Haaff, Tell City; sister, Dorothy Wheatley, Cannelton; ten grandchildren, Brittney Litherland, Megan James, Kelli James, Mathew James, Morgan Haaff, Molly Haaff, Macey Haaff, Jonathon James, Kirsten James and Kory James and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, August, 11, 2015 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with burial in Greenwood. Bro. David Nix will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 7:00 PM Monday and from 9:00 until 11:00 AM Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
