Tell City, Indiana - Anna Jean ""A.J."" Blinzinger, 90, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2012, at her home. She was born in Tell City on December 20, 1921. Her parents were the late Charles T. and Elizabeth D. (Yaggi) Fournier. Also preceding her in death was a brother, Bertrand Fournier, in infancy; sisters, Dorothy Peter, Helen Harpenau Hagedorn, Maureen DeLoriea and Eleanora Herrmann; husbands, Norbert Webb and Jim Blinzinger. A 1939 graduate of Tell City High School, A.J. was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church where she served on the quilting committee. She played bridge for over forty years and enjoyed her volunteer work at St. Meinrad Archabbey. Some of her fondest memories were of her travels with Jim. Her greatest loves were her faith and spending time with her family. She retired as a manager for apartment buildings and had worked at Noble's IGA for over thirty years as a cashier. Surviving are her daughters, Charlene Kessner (Bob), Evansville and Jane Arnold (David), Tell City; step sons, Lynn Blinzinger (Dorothy), Tell City and Don Blinzinger; granddaughters, Amy Seifried (Steve) and Julie Driver (Chad); great grandchildren, Jonathan and Michael Seifried and Renee and Lauren Driver and step grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, January 11, 2012, at St. Paul Catholic Church with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 PM on Tuesday and from 9:00 until 10:30 AM on Wednesday at Huber Funeral Home, 1139 12th Street, Tell City. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church or Sisters of St. Benedict. The family wishes to thank Vista Care Hospice and her caregivers, Mary Anderson (deceased), Agnes Gruver, Barb Fulton, Kathy Duke, Teresa Bolin and Cindy White and Dr. Gene Ress.
