Tell City, Indiana Faye Badger, 86, passed away on Thursday April 12, 2007 at Oakwood Health Campus. She was born on February 7, 1921 in Maurry City, Tennessee. Faye was the daughter of the late Walter Riddick and Elsie Riddick. She married L A Badger September 17, 1938 in Hawesville, Kentucky. He passed away in 1979. Also preceding her in death were a daughter, Linda Faye Badger, a great grandson, Bobby Wilkerson, three sisters, Mary Alice Miller, Katie Bell Young, and Evelyn Osburn and a brother Westal Riddick. Faye and her husband started Kentuckiana Boat Club in the 1950's. Faye was employed at General Electric for twenty-five years. After retirement she organized Faye's Follies, a senior citizen kitchen band that played for local events including the State Fair. She enjoyed arts and crafts, especially decoupage, and learned to play the guitar at the age of 47 and the piano at age 65. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Hawesville, Kentucky, American Legion Auxiliary Post 213, VFW Auxiliary Post 2939 and the Order of Eastern Star #272. Faye is survived by a daughter Sonja Badger, Tell City and a sister Nell Buell, Tell City, three grandchildren, Linda Puckett, Shelly Young, and Colleen Morris, seven great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Sunday, April 15, 2007 at 1:00 PM at Huber Funeral Home Tell City Chapel with burial in Cliff cemetery in Cannelton, Indiana. Paul Vaughn will officiate. Visitation will be on Saturday from 2:00 until 7:00 PM and on Sunday from 11:00 AM until service time at Huber Funeral Home Tell City Chapel, where there will be an Eastern Star memorial service at 5:00 PM Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hawesville Church of Christ or Alzheimer's Support group c/o Evangelical United Church of Christ.
