Tell City, Indiana Andrew A. "Andy" Walters, 92, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Heartford House in Owensboro, Kentucky. He was born February 6, 1922 in Perry County, son of the late Anderson and Grace (Beckort) Walters. Also preceding him in death was his wife Edith ( Labhart) Walters, brother, Roy Walters, and half-sister, Eunice Ryan. Andy was united in marriage to Edith Labhart December 31, 1941 at Evangelical United Church of Christ. She passed away November 15, 2010. A U.S. Army veteran, Andy has been a member of American Legion Post #213 since 1945. He retired in 1982 from General Electric after 31 years and was a member of Lilly Dale Church of Christ. Andy enjoyed traveling and woodworking. Andy is survived by daughter; Wanda Seamon (Don), Tell City; sons, Harold Walters (Janice), Charleston, Illinois, Larry Walters (Marsha), Tell City, Don Walters (Jean, deceased), Tell City, Roy Walters (Teena), Anderson and Paul Walters (Kathy, deceased), Grandview; fourteen grandchildren, six step grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren and three step great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, January 12, 2015 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with burial in Lilly Dale Cemetery, where there will be military graveside rites conducted by American Legion Post #213. Bro. Harry Coultas and Bro. Eddie Olberding will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 7:00 PM Sunday and from 9:00AM until service time on Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to Lilly Dale Church of Christ Church or Cemetery or Heartford House in Owensboro, Kentucky.
