Tell City, Indiana Amanda E. ""Betty"" Brown, 89, of Tell City, formerly of Magnet, passed away at 2:10 AM Sunday, February 19, 2006 at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City. Betty was born December 30, 1916 in Maryville, Tennessee the daughter of the late W.J. Brown and Emma L. (Lawson) Brown Trentham. Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Jack and Willis Brown and two sisters, Hester Fortney and Anna Beaver. A member of Crossroads United Methodist Church in Magnet, Betty enjoyed doll collecting, sewing, crocheting, latch hook, gardening, fishing and raising African violets. She is survived by: One brother: Joe R. Brown, Knoxville, Tennessee Her caregivers John and Donna Bryant, Leopold, Indiana Several nieces and nephews Funeral services will be 11:00 AM EST Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at Huber Funeral Home 129 North Sixth Street, Cannelton, Indiana with burial in Greenwood Cemetery at Tell City. Rev. Gil Hubbard will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday and from 9:00 to 11:00 AM Wednesday at Huber Funeral Home-Cannelton Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads United Methodist Church.
