Allocieus Neyenhaus

Tell City, Indiana - Allocieus L. "Soak" Neyenhaus, 86, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2014, at her home. She was born in Perry County on July 8, 1928. Her parents were the late John P. and Cecelia A. (Brinksneader) Hess. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Maurice Neyenhaus in 1999; a son in infancy, Maurice David Neyenhaus and brothers and sisters, including Hilberta Hess and Hubert Hess. She had worked at General Electric and William Tell Woodcrafters. A homemaker, she was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and enjoyed crocheting, fishing, cooking and baking for her family and watching John Wayne movies. Surviving are her daugthers, Sheila Lasher Wheeler (Curt), Tell City and Marietta Ney (Michael), Indianapolis; sons, Marcus Neyenhaus (Judith), Indianapolis and Paul Neyenhaus, Sr. (Anna), Bristow; brothers, Harold Hess , Denny Hess, and Steve Hess, all of Tell City, Ronnie Hess, Bloomington and Mike Hess, Leopold; grandchildren, Rom Lasher (Wendy), Katty Galloway (David), Ryan Neyenhaus (Patty), Sarah Neyenhaus, Paul Neyenhaus, Jr. (Christina), Daniel Neyenhaus and Jennifer Harris (Robert) and several great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at St. Paul Catholic Church with burial in St. Mary Cemetery. Rev. Barnabas Gillespie, OSB, will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 7:00 PM on Monday and from 8:30 until 9:30 AM on Tuesday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Charities of Tell City.
