Allen Esarey

Bristow, Indiana Allen J. Esarey, 79, passed away Monday May 24, 2004 while working on his dairy farm in Bristow. He was born October 21, 1924 in Bristow the son of the late John William Esarey and Eva (Jones) Esarey. A 1943 graduate of Tell City High School, he married the former Alberta Bruggenschmidt November 6, 1948 at St. Paul Catholic Church in Tell City, Indiana. She preceded him in death November 18, 1986. Allen was a lifelong Perry County farmer and was a member of Perry County Soil and Water Conservation District and St. Isidore Catholic Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Allen is survived by three daughters, Kathy Esarey-Hammond and her husband Raleigh of Owensboro, Kentucky, Mary Lee Foster and her husband Mark A. Foster Sr. of Tell City, Indiana, Patti DuPre and her husband Tom of Tell City, Indiana, his son, Gary Esarey and his wife Joan of Troy, Indiana, a sister, Louella King of Tell City, Indiana, a brother, Gilbert Esarey of Bristow, Indiana. His grandchildren, Ashley and Michael DuPre and step grandchildren, Ryan and Cody Pfiefer and Mark A. Foster Jr. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday May 27, 2004 at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Bristow, Rev. Guy Mansini OSB officiating, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday and from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM Thursday at Huber Funeral Home, 1139 12th Street, Tell City, Indiana where there will be a parish prayer service at 7:45 PM Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Isidore Catholic Church or St. Isidore Cemetery. Messages of condolence may be left for the family online at www.huberfuneralhome.net
