Alice Wright

Doolittle Mills, Indiana - Alice M. Wright, 81, passed away at 11:55 PM CST on Friday, November 4, 2011, at Memorial Hospital in Jasper. She was born in Birdseye on November 13, 1929. Her parents were the late Basil Hoffman, Sr. and Mary Ellen (Kellems) Hoffman. Also preceding her in death were her sisters, Annabelle Wright, Ruth Pauley and Delores Cooper; brothers, George ""Butch""and Gary Hoffman and Basil Hoffman, Jr. A homemaker, she enjoyed gardening, reading and spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving are her daughters, Elaine Fromme (Robert), Clarksville, Sharon Johnson (Russell), Doolittle Mills, Trish Huff (Eddie), Birdseye, Janet Newkirk (Ralph), Taswell; sons, Mark Wright , Doolittle Mills, Steve Wright (Barb), Doolittle Mills, Richard Wright (Ilona Gray), Beaver Dam, Kentucky, Terry Wright (Wanda Hensley), Doolittle Mills, Stanley Wright (Pam), Gatchel and Marty Wright (Kandy), Bristow; a sister, Lillian Blunk, Louisville, Kentucky; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM CDT on Monday, November 7, 2010, at Bethel Christian Church in Doolittle Mills, with burial in Doolittle Mills Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 7:00 PM on Sunday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, and from 11:00 AM until service time on Monday at the church. Brother Al Madden will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the cemetery.
