Alice Salamone

Cannelton, Indiana - Alice S. Salamone, 90, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2011, at Perry County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Riverhead, New York, on August 4, 1920. Her parents were the late Steven and Marcela (Mieckouski) Lescenski. Also preceding her in death were her sisters, Bertha Gallo, Agnes Jackowski and Helen Dombroski; brothers, Pete, Frank and Walter Lescenski; and her husband, Antonio J. Salamone. A homemaker, Alice was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, needle work and her spending time with her two dogs, Rusty and Henry. She is survived by her sons, Tony Salamone, Jr., Cannelton and Thomas Salamone, Orem, Utah; grandchildren, Richard, Brian, Chris, Melanie, Antonia and Stephen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, May 16, 2011, at St. Michael Catholic Church with burial in New Cliff Cemetery. Rev. Barnabas Gillespie, OSB, will officiate. There will be no visitation at Huber Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael Restoration Fund.
