Troy, Indiana Albert A. Genet, 84, passed away at 7:25 PM Thursday September 4, 2003 at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City. Albert was born September 22, 1918 in Leopold, Indiana son of the late Albert Genet and Bertha (Cart) Genet. Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Leslie & Cledith Genet, a sister, Geneva Foster, and a son Albert L. Genet. A World War II Navy veteran, he married the former Marjorie Jones December 15, 1936 in Hawesville, Kentucky. He retired in 1984 from Tell City Chair Company and had formerly worked at U.S. Brick. A member of St. Isidore Catholic Church in Bristow, he enjoyed basketball, fishing, playing cards, and was also a member of American Legion Post #213 in Tell City. Survived by: His wife of 66 years, Marjorie (Jones) Genet A daughter: Geraldine Brown, Troy, Indiana A sister: Mary Waninger, Ferdinand, Indiana 7 grandchildren: Laverne Schuetz, Christine Blackgrove, Kevin, Kent, Kem, Kenny, & Kelvin Brown 12 great grandchildren Funeral services will be 11:30 AM Monday September 8, 2003 at St. Isidore Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery where American Legion post # 213 will conduct military graveside rites. Rev. Guy Mansini OSB will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday and from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM Monday at Huber Funeral Home-Tell City Chapel where there will be a prayer service at 6:30 PM Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Isidore Catholic Church or Cemetery. Remembrances may be made online at www.huberfuneralhome.net
