Albert Faulkner, Sr.

June 29, 1929 — April 4, 2014

Tell City, Indiana Albert L. "Al" Faulkner, Sr., 84, passed away, Friday April 4, 2014 at Oakwood Health Campus. He was born June 29, 1929, in Perry County, son of the late Vincent Leo and Agnes (Casey) Faulkner. Also preceding him in death was his wife Dorothy (Weil) Faulkner in 2012; a son, Vince Faulkner; a daughter, Laurie Faulkner; brothers, Edward, William and Donald Faulkner. He graduated from Oil Township High School and served in the U.S. Army reserves. Al had worked in auto parts sales and retired as street commissioner for City of Tell City. A member of St. Paul Catholic Church, he was a fourth degree member of Knights of Columbus #1172, where he was a former Grand Knight. Al was formerly Perry County Democrat chairman and Perry County Commissioner. He is survived by daughters; Susan Doyle (Dave), Fresno, California, Sharon Baer (Jeff), Plainfield, Indiana, Theresa Button (Bobby), Covington, Georgia and Patty Hahus, Alton, Indiana; sons, Albert "Larry" Faulkner, Jr. (Anna), Evansville and Andrew Faulkner (Sue), Fredericksburg, Virginia; three sisters, Mary Agnes Goffinet, Clarksville, Indiana, Catherine Sellman, Clarksville, Indiana and Christine Hahus, Yuba City, California; seven grandchildren, Brandy Sitzman, Brian Faulkner, Brad Faulkner, Leonard Hahus, Melissa Hahus, Carri Button and Candi Brewer and five great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM Monday, April 7, 2014 at St. Paul Catholic Church, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 7:00 PM Sunday and from 8:30 until 9:30 AM Monday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. There will be a Knights of Columbus memorial service at 6:30 PM Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
