Agnes Ramsey

Tell City, Indiana Agnes B. Ramsey, 96, passed away August 8, 2016 at Oakwood Health Campus. She was born August 27, 1919 in Leopold, Indiana, daughter of the late Walter and Celine (Pauporte) Goffinet. Also preceding her in death was her husband Charles L. Ramsey in 1998, daughter, Donna Spencer, brother, Leonard "Peck" Goffinet, sisters, Helen Rogier, Gertrude Amos and Lucille Huber and son- in- law Wib Parker, Jr. Agnes was united in marriage to Charles L. Ramsey on April 4, 1940. They owned and operated Ramsey's Market, which later became R & R Market, retiring in 1980. She enjoyed playing bingo, cooking, baking and spending time with family. She is survived by her daughters, Janet Lehr (Freddie), Rockport, Charlene Parker, Tell City and Carolyn Huff (George), Evansville, 13 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 9 great- great grandchildren and one on the way. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 11, 2016 at St. Paul Catholic Church with burial in St. Mary Cemetery. Rev. Luke Waugh will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday and from 8:30 until 9:30 AM Thursday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church, American Cancer Society or Heart to Heart Hospice.
