Tell City, Indiana Adaline Dauby, 91, of Tell City, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2008 at Golden Living Center-Lincoln Hills in Tell City. Adaline was the youngest of six children, born in Bandon, Indiana on June 17, 1917 to the late Andrew Devillez and Sidonia Hermann Devillez. She was also preceded in death by all of her siblings, sisters, Pearl Truitt, Clara Mezo and Julia Devillez in childhood, and two brothers, Albert and William Devillez. Adaline was a member of the last graduating class of Leopold High School in 1936. On May 24, 1939 Adaline married Ferdinand Dauby at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Leopold. They celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary in May, 2008. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and had been an active volunteer at the St. Paul coffee socials. She was also a member of the Golden Living Center Red Hat Society. She truly enjoyed being with her family. Adaline is survived by her husband of sixty-nine years, Ferd Dauby, one son, Donald L. Dauby and his wife, Carol Strobel Dauby of Tell City, Indiana, a granddaughter, Nancy C. Dauby, Evansville, Indiana, a grandson, Gregory D. Dauby and his wife, Rae Ann Dauby, Tell City, Indiana and a great grandson, Anthony G. Dauby, Tell City, Indiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at St. Paul Catholic Church, Main and Jefferson Streets in Tell City with burial in St. Mary Cemetery. Rev. Timothy Sweeney O.S.B. will officiate. Visitation is from 4:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday and 8:00 until 9:30 AM Wednesday at Huber Funeral Home, 1139 12th Street, Tell City, Indiana where a parish prayer service will be held at 6:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church.
