Ada Burns

Cannelton, Indiana - Ada L. Burns, 69, passed away June 17, 2015, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born in Perry County, January 17, 1946, daughter of the late Edward and Clarice (Riat) Galey. Also preceding her in death was her brother, Curt Galey and nephew Jason Galey. Ada was a 1964 graduate of Oil Township. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and had worked at General Electric, Buehler's Buy Low and was a beautician and former 4-H leader. Ada enjoyed photography, genealogy and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband Norman Burns; daughter, Shelly Smith (Terry), LaGrange, GA; son, James Burns (Cassandra), Sydney, Australia; sisters, Joy Davis, Elizabeth, IN and Barbara Sue Connor (Tim), Branchville, IN; four grandchildren, Sadie, Oliver, Nathan and Jessica and one great grandchild, Kairi. A Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 AM Saturday, June 20, 2015 at St. Michael Catholic Church with burial in Walker Cemetery. Rev. Sengole Thomas G. will officiate. Visitation will be from 8:30 until 9:30 AM Saturday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael Church.
