Tim Rager

Tell City, Indiana - Timothy F. "Tim" Rager, 63, passed away July 31, 2022 at Ascension St. Vincent in Evansville. He was born in Owensboro, KY on August 21, 1958 son of Hugh Rager and Vivian (Shephard) Mullen. Tim worked in refrigeration maintenance at Farbest Foods where he worked for over 26 years. He had been a member of Indiana National Guard and American Legion Post #213. Tim was an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan, enjoyed shooting guns, tinkering on his many projects and playing pool with his friends. He also enjoyed playing guitar and mandolin. In his teenage years, he played bluegrass music alongside his father. He is survived by his son, Andy Rager, Jasper, and sister, Donna Ramsey, Jeffersonville and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, wife, Johanna (Cronin) Rager, and brothers, Jeffrey Lynn Rager, in infancy and Ricky Rager. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 8:00 PM CDT Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel. Burial will be at a later date in Lilly Dale Cemetery in Gatchel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
