Sandra Applegate

Sandra J. Applegate, 66, passed away on July 10, 2022 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born in Tell City on November 9, 1955 to Emory and Daisy (Harrison) Martin. A graduate of Perry Central High School, Sandra worked at St. Meinrad Archabbey for over 30 years. She was a faithful member of United Pentecostal Church in Bristow. Sandra adored her grandchildren and enjoyed gardening and attending church. Surviving are her children, Daisy Applegate-Donaldson (Patrick) and John Applegate (Brittany), all of Bristow; sisters, Floretta Baird (Dennis) and Barbara Alvey, Tell City and several grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Wilbur Applegate, Jr. in 2006; grandson, Phoenix Applegate-Donaldson and siblings, John Martin, Rachel Walker and Elesia Parra. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM CDT on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Pastor Clarence Enmen, Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow in Carr Cemetery in Gerald, IN. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to United Pentecostal Church, Bristow.
