Troy, Indiana Ronald E. Sandage, 65, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2015, at his home. He was born November 26, 1949, son of the late Ernest and Lagatha Ruth (Bryant) Sandage. Also preceding him in death was his son, Timmy Sandage, step-son, Terry Alvey, brother, Marvin Sandage, and grandson, Joseph Embry. A U.S. Marine veteran, Ron served in Vietnam and received a Purple Heart. He was united in marriage to Delores (Sauter) Alvey, August 31, 1985, who survives. Ron was a graduate of Cannelton High School and worked at General Electric. He enjoyed watching westerns, traveling, motorcycle riding and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife 29 years, Delores Sandage; son, Tony Sandage, Cannelton; step-daughters, Kelly Louden (Bob), Madisonville, KY, Karen Wynn (Ed), Boonville and Kim Embry (Jerry), Tell City; step-son, Jeff Alvey, Cannelton; sisters, Margie Wethington, Hawesville, Sharon Duke, Cannelton, and Kathy Robins, Evanston; brothers, Ernie Sandage, Tell City, Billy Sandage, Grandview, Larry Sandage, Tell City, David Sandage, Cannelton, Roger Sandage, Cannelton, Steve Sandage, Cannelton and Mike Sandage, Buford, GA; grandchildren, Tyler Sandage, Justin Newton, Judd Brown (Kristi), Tucker Brown (Kara Jones), Elliott Brown, Brandi Posey (Steve), and Kandi Posey; great grandchildren, Rilan Sandage, Otto Jones, Cooper Brown, Kloyi Hess, Ty Hess, Kaylee Alvey, Kylee Posey, Dylan Ingle, Devon Newton and Peyton Newton. Funeral services will be 7:00 PM, Monday, February 2, 2015 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Pastor Paul Alvey will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Perry County Animal Shelter.
