Jimmy Austin

Cannelton, Indiana - James E. "Jimmy" Austin, 65, passed away on April 29, 2022. He was born in Birdseye on January 31, 1957. Jimmy had worked at Perry County Solid Waste in Cannelton. He enjoyed being in the woods looking for ginseng and yellow root. Jimmy loved his kids, had a big heart and was always willing to feed his neighbor's cats. Surviving him are his children; James "Reefer" Wilson, Louisville, KY, Charles "Corky" Wilson, Cannelton, James "Butch" Wilson, Tell City and Sara Austin-Hill, Jessica Austin and Stephanie "Queenie Weenie" Austin all of Cannelton; brothers and sisters, Cathy Austin-Hardin, John, Mikey, Jerry and Toni Sullivan and John Austin and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his father, Charles Austin; mother, Dolores (Hobbs) Sullivan; daughters, Brook Wilson and Nicole "Coco" Wilson; sister, Sandy Austin-Mullen and brothers, Billy, Paul and Jeff Sullivan. There will be a Celebration of Life for Jimmy announced at a later date. Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel, assisted his family with Jimmy's wishes.
