Israel Whitehead

Rome, Indiana - Israel "Leon" Whitehead, 80, passed away on December 13, 2020. He was born in Rome, on January 8, 1940, son of Rupert and Agnes (Hendershot) Whitehead who preceded him in death. Leon enjoyed fishing, camping, horses, his dogs and farm and spending time with his daughters and grandchildren. Surviving are his daughters, Nedra Whitehead (John Bolton), Karin Gibson (Pat) and Victoria Whitehead (Steve James); brother, Robert Whitehead (Betty) and grandchildren, Dreama Reed (Dean Bozarth), Darrin Reed, Cory James and Kylee James (Sarah Mallinson). Also preceding him in death, besides his parents, was his first wife, Elizabeth Jean (Kyle) Whitehead; his second wife, Dixie (Miller) Whitehead and brothers, Donald, Fred, Friedel and Eric Whitehead. There will be no services. Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel, assisted the family with his arrangements.
