Goldie K. Luecke, 104, passed away on February 13, 2024 at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Leopold on September 26, 1919, daughter of Alfred and Pearl (Sweat) Solbrig.
Goldie was united in marriage to Herman O. Luecke on October 26, 1939 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Leopold.
Goldie retired from General Electric where she had worked for 20 years. She later worked at the former Dauby’s Department Store.
A member of St. Paul Catholic Church, where Goldie was always willing to volunteer her time whether it be by being active in the church’s quilting group or baking cakes, pies and cookies for church socials. She always looked forward to visits from her family and sharing her baked goods with them.
Surviving are her children, Gene Luecke (Carolyn), Tell City, Bernard Luecke, Tell City, Earl Luecke (Ruth), Elizabeth; and John Luecke (Maurie), Newburgh; seven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and a great-great grandson who is due to be born any day.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Herman O. Luecke; three infant daughters, Linda, Ann and Diana; three grandsons, Jeffrey Luecke, Brian Luecke and Dean Luecke and brothers, Estel and Lester Solbrig.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM CDT on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at St. Paul Catholic Church. Father Tony Hollowell will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mark Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Friday from 2:00-7:00 PM CDT and on Saturday from 8:30-9:30 AM at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church or St. Mark Cemetery.
